I believe there are certain hardships that are experienced when becoming an adult, so I want to make the main theme of this game something that those who grew up playing Final Fantasy and understand reality can still enjoy, get something out of, and think about.”įinal Fantasy XVI is currently in development for PlayStation 5 with more information expected some time this year. I think the Warriors of Light have grown up in their own worlds, so I want to create a world of Final Fantasy that those who know the good and bad of reality can also be passionate about.
Final fantasy xvi mode series#
I’m from the generation that has been playing the Final Fantasy series from the first game in real-time-I’m almost in my 50s. “Since we have quite the substantial support actions, we’re of course preparing something easy to operate and smooth to play. “We really want players to enjoy the story, so we’re preparing a mode for players who want to focus on story,” said Yoshida. But what about players who aren’t necessarily good at action games? The game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida, appeared during the ‘Game Hawk’ corner on an episode of Tokyo FM’s radio show “One Morning” to share a few tidbits on the in-development RPG.Īs we know, Final Fantasy XVI is going to be action-oriented, it features both story and action. It seems Final Fantasy XVI will be the latest to include just that. Also, share this out, the more people that know the fight the less painful it will be.For more guides please check my all encompassing list of guides.A common trend in modern video games – particularly of the action variety – has been to include several gameplay modes for players who either want a challenge or to focus on the story. Patience is a key part of this fight so don't just try to push it to fast, just work Titan down at a steady pace and you'll be fine.Īs always, thanks for reading, if you need clarification on any point, or have a request for another guide please let me know in the comments below. When Titan dies you'll get a miniscule amount of experience, but all in all the fight is pretty fun. With so much information, it can be hard to nail down what is really happening. Still, Final Fantasy XVI appears to be taking the combat down a whole new avenue with a focus on character action, real-time ability switching and combos, summonable monster battles and so much more.

So continue fighting as you did in phase two and kill Titan. The series is known for its ATB or turn-based entries. Phase three incorporates the moves from phase one and phase two, however you no longer need to worry about the Heart.

Destroy the Heart to advance into the third and final phase. Titan becomes untargetable while Titan's Heart is up, but the Heart is part of Titan. You need to destroy Titan's Heart instead of Titan. Party members become useless when trapped in these rocks so dispatch them as soon as possible. The first mechanic is you have to destroy the rocks that are dropped on party members. Phase two will continue the attacks from phase one but will add some new mechanics. Phase one ends when Titan drops to 50% health, immediately going into phase two. There is also a knock back if you stand near Titan during the attack so be wary of your surroundings when you see the red lines pop up. This attack does massive damage so don't stand in it.

The second move you want to be wary of is a straight shot move that shoots across the entire map. You will want to stand in the dark brown ring inside of the circle. If you exit the Geocrush circle you will be knocked off the map, causing instant death and the inability to rejoin the fight until everyone wipes. When Titan jumps a large red circle appears, this circle is one that you want to remain inside of. Titan will jump into the air using a move called Geocrush, slamming himself down in the middle of the arena. If you mess it up you are knocked out of the fight. Phase One is pretty simple, there are really only two moves to watch for.
